Tropical medicine

Planning a vacation or travelling abroad for work?  We support you so that you can enjoy your vacation and/or return from your work or personal travels healthy.

With a travel medical consultation you will receive detailed information about your travel destination along with the recommended or necessary vaccination recommendations, as well as malaria prophylaxis.  Additionally, you will be informed about importance conduct and practices in order to stay healthy, as well as tips for your first aid kit.

With the experience that I gained at the Federal Foreign Office and in the Tropical Hygiene Institute of the University of Heidelberg, as well as in a clinic in Nairobi and in 2011 in Haiti with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) following the earthquake, I am able to offer travel medical consultations in my practice.

Being well prepared for your vacation means planning a timely travel medical consultation.

The practice is a WHO certified yellow fever vaccination centre.

Most health insurance providers will bear the expenses, however often against prepayment.  It is recommended that you inquire with your health insurance provider.

Please bring your vaccination card with you.

Return travellers with health concerns can be examined at the practice by making an emergency appointment.  In cases of fever or persistent diarrhoea (including weeks after travel) should come in for an examination.
